The Open Hearth Kitchen at Chaa Creek opens up the flavorful and fascinating world of Belizean cuisine. The traditional culinary course is a hands-on experience offered daily that recognizes five distinct Belizean cultures. The cooking class starts with an introduction to the culture featured on your day of participation, followed by the wearing of an apron after which you will commence cooking. At the end of the 2 hour session, you and your cook will gather around the table to enjoy your freshly prepared authentic Belizean meal. As a bonus, you will be taking home the recipe for the same meal you prepared, and that has had great care in selecting the ingredients so you can easily replicate it in your home country.
